Genuine Hypertherm Consumables
The Only Way to Ensure Maximum Performance
Get All The Performance You Paid For
Your plasma cutting system represents a significant investment. The fact that
you chose a Hypertherm system shows that you are looking for the benefits of
peak performance and superior cut quality.
To ensure that you get all the performance you paid for, all of the time, it
is important that you use genuine Hypertherm consumable parts.
Cut with the Best
Hypertherm builds each of its models as a complete system. Consumable parts
are designed and optimized for each torch, power supply and application. These
parts go through an exhaustive, systematic protocol to ensure that they will
deliver optimal parts life and cut quality.
Never satisfied, Hypertherm's R&D department has an ongoing program of
testing, refining and upgrading consumable parts for virtually all of our
systems to improve cut quality and consistency, and to promote longer life.
Using genuine Hypertherm consumable parts is the only way to be sure you are
benefiting from the continuous improvement that is a hallmark of Hypertherm
quality.
Most Hypertherm systems have patents on at least some of their consumable
parts. These patents testify to Hypertherm's ongoing commitment to advancing
plasma as the process of choice when cutting metal. They represent a significant
investment in R&D and result in better cut quality and consumable part
longevity for you
The Best Way To Minimize Cutting Costs
When you consider the total cost of your cutting operation, it's clear that
using genuine parts is the best way to minimize cutting costs. Labor/overhead is
by far the largest cost component of cutting metal, so maximizing labor
productivity is crucial to business success. Using genuine Hypertherm parts
increases labor productivity in two important ways:
- Better cut quality means less manual rework and finishing. Non-genuine
parts may not meet Hypertherm's precise specifications for concentricity, a
deficiency that frequently produces cut angle variability. Dross accumulation
may also increase with imperfect dimensioning. Both of these problems can
require costly and time-consuming secondary finishing operations to remedy,
driving up your costs and slowing your production schedule.
- Longer parts life means less downtime. Non-genuine consumable parts which
don't last as long as Hypertherm parts add to expensive downtime for your
machine and your workers because they must be replaced more often. Every time
these parts are replaced your system is idle, your workers are idle, and you
are spending more money on consumables, all of which reduce your profit.
Consumables cost is about 1/10 of the labor/overhead cost. In other words, if
using the highest quality parts helps you cut rework or downtime by just 5%,
that's equivalent to cutting consumables costs by 50%! A clear look at the "big
picture" shows that any savings realized by using cheaper parts is far
outweighed by the increased labor costs and the risk of system downtime. In
fact, the Hypertherm parts engineered and produced specifically for your system
are your best guarantee of enjoying the lowest possible cutting costs.
Genuine Parts Reduce Risks
Using anything other than Hypertherm genuine consumable parts poses risks to
your cutting system's reliability. Imperfect dimensioning may lead to expensive
problems such as torch shorting, overheating and, ultimately, system failure.
This problem can be especially serious for companies using just-in-time
production methods.
How much will it cost your company to lose hours of production while a system
is repaired or replaced due to an imperfect consumable part worth a few dollars?
How will your customer respond to a missed shipment? Trust Hypertherm consumable
parts and eliminate these risks.

Laser-Etched Quality Assurance
Every genuine Hypertherm consumable part is laser-etched, identifying
Hypertherm ("Hypertherm" or "HT") and the part number. Look for it to make sure
you are using genuine parts for your Hypertherm cutting system. Hypertherm
consumables are available worldwide through an extensive network of distributors
and original equipment manufacturers.
Warranty Protection
Hypertherm is confident in the quality of its manufacturing process and
product designs and backs up this confidence with a two-year power supply
warranty and a one-year torch warranty. Any damage caused by the use of
non-genuine parts will not, however, be covered by this warranty.
All inspections are performed with instruments calibrated and traceable to
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
All parts are subject to final inspections ranging from 100% to
pre-defined statistical sampling plans.
Random quality assurance audits are performed on a sampling of finished
products and shipments every month as a final check on the quality of the
parts and the inspection process.
