Picture
Moving heavy steel around a shop floor can be time-consuming, awkward and, depending on what rigging you use, potentially dangerous. Eriez’s SafeHold Lift Magnets solve these headaches by combining powerful magnets with simple releases that can lift up to 7,500 pounds. No power supply, batteries, or complicated controls required! They're ideal for carrying semi-finished products such as machined parts, castings, press molds, steel plates, bars, tubes and more, and can help speed your team's production along.

There are quite a few options in the Eriez SafeHold Lifting Magnet line-up, so let's breakdown what these industrial strength magnets have to offer and the features and benefits of each series! We'll give our recommendations for welding and fabrication shops, and cover lifting capacity so you can make the best choice for your shop's needs!

Common Shop Applications:

Plate and Material Handling: Easily load and unload raw materials from laser or plasma tables with one quick magnetic pick-up

Bar Stock Feeding: Slide bars into lathes or mills without fiddly clamps

Fixture & Fixture Transfers: Position structural sections (angles, channels, tubing) for easy tack-ups on smaller fabrication jobs

SafeHold Magnet RPL-7

Our Recommendation
for Welding & Fab Shops

Within the SafeHold family, the RPL-7 hits the sweet spot for most shop environments. When it comes to versatility, capacity, size, and price, this is the most popular model for our customers! Compact and portable, with easy one handed operation and the ability to lift both round and flat workpieces without swapping tools!

XPL Series

Capacity (depending on the model)
FLAT: up to 3,500 lbs
ROUND: up to 2,700 lbs

Similar rare-earth design to the RPL, handles flat workpieces, and a higher weight and diameter capacity when it comes to round materials! Manually operated, no power supply needed and an easy to rotate handle with no backlash.

EPL SERIES

Capacity (depending on the model)
FLAT: up to 7,500 lbs
ROUND: N/A

Lift and transfer flat steel and iron workpieces with no need for slings, hooks or cables. With the highest rated capacity on the market when it comes to permanent lift magnets, no power supply needed and an easy to rotate handle with no backlash.

APL Series

Picture
Capacity (depending on the model)
FLAT: up to 3,800 lbs
ROUND: N/A

Smooth sailing through hundreds of lifting-positioning jobs at your shop. This series is best for loading and unloading steel sheets from burning tables, etc. Crane activated on/off and no power supply required, these can be used alone or combine the power with multiples on a spreader beam!

MPL Series

Picture
Capacity (depending on the model)
FLAT: up to 3,000 lbs
ROUND: up to 3,000 lbs

These permanent magnets turn
off and on with the actuation of a
switch on the magnet or an optional
pendant, no power supply needed. Lift, move or position in record time without the need for manually releasing the magnet. Best for locations that are tough for employees to access.
For welding and metal fabrication shops  the Eriez SafeHold® magnets offer a safe, easy, and efficient alternative to other material handling and lifting options like slings and cables. They can your shop save on setup time, minimize pinch-point hazard potential, and keep your team focused on the job!
