We've been fans of Lincoln Electric's Viking 1740 helmets since they came out, but they just dropped a fresh design called Game-On! Offering that throwback arcade vibe, the Viking 1740 Game-On is an auto darkening helmet that's both cost-effective and sturdy- designed to meet the needs of both professional and hobbyist welders alike!
The Viking 1470 Game-On helmet is equipped with Lincoln Electric's exclusive 4C Lens Technology. This innovative feature broadens the visible color spectrum, allowing welders to see a clearer and more accurate view of the base material, arc, and puddle. The lens offers perfect 1/1/1/1 optical clarity, eliminating color saturation and imperfections to reduce eye strain and improve weld quality.

This helmet offers a range of controls to adapt to various tasks, including variable shade (9-13), sensitivity, and delay controls, making it suitable for a wide array of processes, including Stick, TIG, Pulsed TIG, MIG, Pulsed MIG, Flux-Cored, Gouging, and Grinding. The Grind Mode comes with an LED safety indicator for added convenience and safety. This helmet ensures uninterrupted performance with an auto on/off functionality and solar cell with user-replaceable AAA batteries.

Weighing in at just 18.6 ounces, the Viking 1740 Game-On is designed for maximum comfort during long welding sessions.
It features easily adjustable ratchet headgear and cushioned front and back headbands to disperse pressure and provide a secure fit. The helmet’s lightweight design and durable construction make it a reliable choice for daily shop or jobsite use!
Choosing the right welding helmet is crucial for both safety and performance. The Viking 1740 Game-On helmet provides high-quality features typically found in more expensive models but at an economical price. Its advanced optics, versatile controls, and comfortable design make it an excellent investment for anyone looking to enhance their welding experience!
