| The program, called Baltimore Trains for Wind, is managed by BCPS Career Readiness Department and intends to set these students up with the skillset they’ll need for forging CTE pathways related to sustainable wind energy. The purpose of the overall programs is to establish an offshore wind supply chain in Maryland. This is done by having workforce training centers and emerging businesses pitch in to support new tradespeople as they enter the industry and the instructors at Earlbeck’s Technical Center are up for the job! |
 This wind energy based initiative is projected to power nearly 600,000 average Maryland homes. As well as provide 12,000 direct full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs during the development and construction phase, and more than 3,000 direct FTE jobs during the 20 to 30 year operations and maintenance phase.
