Confused BY The new digital AWS ATF certification record?

As of November 3rd, 2025 the American Welding Society has updated their specifications to QC47 for Accredited Test Facilities like Earlbeck. For welders, this just means that your AWS welder certification records are going digital! You'll be able to easily access your credentials from anywhere on any device. Manage certifications, WPQs, and WPSs all in one place with an easy annual subscription, eliminating those per-transaction fees.

How to get started:

  1. Head over to the AWS WeldCert website and either create your account by clicking "First Time Welder" or log in using the self-registration link sent to you by Earlbeck.
  2. After this you'll pay your annual subscription fee and set up your personal profile.
  3. From the "View Certifications" tab, you'll be able to see all of your active certifications
  4. From the "Add Continuity Entry" tab, you'll be able to update your continuity log digitally to maintain your certifications!

Pennsylvania:
All welding courses offered in Pennsylvania are Johnson College Continuing Education programs delivered at Earlbeck’s York, PA facility under Johnson College’s licensure and academic oversight. Johnson College manages registration, tuition, refunds, and student records for Pennsylvania programs.

Maryland:
In Maryland, welding classes are offered to the public through Earlbeck’s instructional partnerships with Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) and Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). These programs are administered through the respective colleges, which oversee enrollment, academic standards, and student records.

Intermediate and Advanced welding classes offered through our college partnerships include certification testing as part of the course. Students must pass all required tests in accordance with AWS and ASME code standards to earn welder certification.
